So, I have become obsessed with the idea of decorating my apartment. And I've decided to do the rooms as follows:
Bedroom: Fancy Victorian Brothel (I would just say Victorian, but I want dark colors, which makes me think of a brothel for some reason)
Hallway: Victorian boots (I store my boots in the hallway, so it kinda works)
Living Room: Medieval
Kitchen/Dining Room: Tuscan
What do they all have in common? Yes! That's it! They are all over-the-top, ornate/elaborate, expensive, heavy (i.e. hanging things on my walls will be difficult because I'm not allowed to put screws or big nails in the wall), and just plain outlandish to have in an apartment. What else do they have in common? They are so very me (minus the lack of functionality for most of it, but I will make them functional! hahahahaha or something).
Hmm... the problem is getting this stuff cheap, but still nice-looking, and getting stuff that isn't going to be so heavy it breaks through the floor and lands on my downstairs neighbor...
And the biggest problem is... drum roll please...
I'm super freakin impatient and want it all NOW NOW NOW!
Oy. I guess that's one of the bad aspects of becoming obsessed with something "positive." I want it all now and have no patience for it to "come in time." What if it does "come in time." By the time it shows up, I will be on to another obsession and won't care anymore. It's now or never, but now doesn't work so well for me (finances, time, availability of help from other people, etc). *sigh* Such is life, I guess.
